The CEMÍ ROUTE has 4 competitor categories. Bikers must have the minimum age of 18 years old before the start of the race.

The four categories are:

– MALE OPEN
– FEMALE OPEN
– MASTER
– GRAND MASTER

Female cyclists that are in the range of age to participate in the MASTER or GRAND MASTER categories may choose to participate in these categories or in OPEN FEMALE.

If your goal is not against the timer, RUTA CEMÍ allows you to enjoy the entire event, routes, accommodation, atmosphere, welcome kits, etc. in its RECREATIONAL / e-BIKE category.

MALE OPEN

Male cyclist who is 18 years old or older at the start of the competition

WOMEN OPEN

Female cyclist who is 18 years old or older at the start of the competition

MASTER

Cyclist who is at least 40 years old or older as of December 31st, 2022

GRAND MASTER

Cyclist is at least 50 years old or older as of December 31st, 2022.

RECREATIONAL / e-BIKE

Non-competitive cyclists with a conventional bicycle or e-bike.

Awards

All participants who complete the five stages of the race will receive an accrediting trophy as FINISHER of the CEMÍ ROUTE.

The first three classified in the GENERAL will receive a prize of:

1º 1,500 US$
2º 1.000 US$
3º 500 US$

The first three classified in EACH CATEGORY will receive a prize of:

1º 1,000 US$
2º 500 US$
3º 250 US$

These awards will be given at the ceremony that will take place at the Awards Dinner.

The prize money of the winners by category will not be added to the prize in the General Classification, that is, if a team is among the top three classified in the General Classification of the RUTA CEMÍ race and among the top three classified in its Category, will receive the trophy and recognition of its position in the General Classification and in its Category, but will only receive the highest monetary prize that corresponds to it between the two classifications.

An example: if a MASTER team has achieved the third place in the General Classification and first place in its Category, it will receive the trophies of both positions and a single prize of 1,000 US$. It is important to note that the prizes mentioned correspond to the team and will be paid as follows, 50% through a bank transfer and the rest through a discount on the registration of the next edition of the RUTA CEMÍ race.

This discount must be applied in the next edition and its value will be deducted from the price published for the race on the date of registration.

In those categories competing 20 cyclists or less, there will be no economic award in that category, as well as in the categories in which 40 bikers or less compete, the award of the category will be 50% of the published values.
